This document contains a wealth of resources about birds and plants in Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada. The bird data are particularly extensive. The County is located roughly half way along the north shore of Lake Ontario, and is rich in natural features, ranging from bird colonies to rare tracts of native grassland and savannah.
This document and website were prepared by Clive Goodwin and Steven Furino. Clive Goodwin was responsible for collecting and validating bird sightings, and the text, together with the text on the plants. Steven Furino authored the software which managed the data and created the bird charts. Co-authors David Bree provided the section on butterflies and Colin Jones that on dragonflies.
